Covid-19 Policies and Procedures
As the global outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve throughout the world, the team at The Flower Man are taking steps to minimise the risk of exposure to our homeland, here in Australia.
We've introduced additional health and safety protocols to take care of our team, valued customers and lucky recipients.
These recommendations have been implemented with regard to suggestions made by the World Health Organisation and Australian Government bodies, including but not limited to:
- Delivery drivers have been given 'authority to leave' for all deliveries, and will leave gifts in a safe spot if available
- Delivery drivers will still contact the recipient on delivery by knocking on the door or providing their name at reception
- Delivery drivers are regularly sanitising hands during delivery runs
- Additional workspace cleaning and staff hygiene practices across all of our team
- Expanding physical space between all of our team, as well as our floral and office workstations
- Ceasing staff movements between all of our locations
- Mandatory self-isolation periods for all staff returning from overseas travel
- all meetings with external parties conducted online where possible or off-site
- Discontinuing all business travel for employees

Our Standard Delivery Charge is $12.95.
For delivery on the same day you are ordering, orders must be placed before 2.00pm weekdays & 10.00 am Saturdays (local time).
Weekday deliveries will be made to business addresses by 5.00pm and to residential addresses by 7.00pm.
Saturday deliveries will be made by 5.00pm
We do not deliver on Sundays or public holidays.

What If No One is There?
If the recipient isn’t there when we arrive, the flowers will be left in a place deemed safe by the courier. This could be at the back of the house, around the side, outside the apartment door, or in the entrance lobby of the apartment block.....you get the idea.
If you have asked that the courier return your arrangement, of if our courier thinks it would be unsafe to leave your gift, your flowers will be returned to us. We will do everything we can to contact you before we leave the arrangement, as return delivery charge of $12.95 will apply to organise a redelivery.
Our customer service team will make it a priority to contact you for instructions.
Deliveries for Valentine’s Day 2020
Here at The Flower Man, we guarantee your flowers will arrive to a residential address by 7pm and to a business address by 5pm on Thursday 13/02/2020 and Friday 14/02/2020. Due to the volume of orders on these two days, we are unable to guarantee any other requests for preferred times of delivery.
We are unable to guarantee deliveries to rural addresses, secured buildings or cemeteries. We will deliver the following business day if an order is unable to be delivered dame day to a rural area.
On Friday 14/02/2020, only products shown in our "Valentine's Day Range" are available for delivery on these dates. Some products advertised on this website may not be available in certain areas and, therefore, will be substituted for a product of equal or higher value at our discretion. This may include, but is not limited to, The Flower Man branded Packaging, Chocolatier chocolates and soft toys.
When placing an order, it is the responsibility of the customer to check that all the details of the recipient - such as name and address - are completed and correct. An invoice will be sent through to your chosen email address so you can read over the order details. As of 5pm (local time in delivery area) on Wednesday 12/02/2020 we are unable to make any changes to orders due for delivery on Thursday 13/02/2020 or Friday 14/02/2020.
We are unable to cancel any order that is due for delivery on Thursday 13/02/2020 or Friday 14/02/2020 or a 50% administration charge will apply based on the total cost of the order. Please ensure you thoroughly check all order details at the time of placing the order.
Orders for delivery on Friday 14/02/2020 to most areas will incur a delivery charge of $19.95. If the delivery is in a more regional or remote area, a higher delivery fee may be charged.
All orders placed after 7pm AEST on Thursday 13/02/2020 for delivery on Friday 14/02/2018 will incur a $34.95 delivery fee.
At The Flower Man, we want your order to arrive safely to the lucky recipient. Therefore, we have limited our attachments to ensure that your entire order fits inside the presentation box. This includes, but is not limited to, chocolates, vases and soft toys.
Deliveries for Mother's Day 2020
We guarantee same day delivery by 6pm for all orders to metropolitan destinations placed before 12pm on Friday 8th May and 12pm on Saturday 9th May - based on the local time in the recipient’s time zone.
Orders for delivery on Sunday 10th May must be placed before 5pm on Saturday 9th May and are guaranteed to be delivered by 5pm on Sunday 10th May.
Delivery of orders to rural route addresses, secured buildings or cemeteries cannot be guaranteed.
Standard delivery on Sunday 10th May is $16.95.
In areas where our couriers are unable to deliver on Sundays, but are able to deliver Monday-Saturday - orders will be delivered on Saturday to ensure your Mum receives flowers for Mother's Day.
If we are unable to supply a specific flower type or colour, substitions will be made for flowers of a similar size, value and shape. This will ensure your flowers are delivered on the requested date. We only use the freshest of flowers so some stems including lilies, alstromeria etc will be send closed, This will ensure that your flowers arrive in the best possible condition and will last longer.
Changes/Cancellations to order for Mother's Day 2020.
Please make sure all order details are correct at time of ordering.
As of 5 pm (time in local delivery area) Friday 8th May 2020, we are unable to vary any orders for delivery on Saturday 9th May.
As of 5 pm (time in local delivery area) Saturday 9th May 2020, we are unable to vary any orders for delivery on Sunday, 10th May.
As of 5 pm (time in local delivery area) Friday 8th May 2020, we are unable to cancel any orders for delivery on Saturday 9th May and Mother's Day Sunday 10th May 2020.
Due to high demand, some colours and varieties of flowers may need to be substituted to meet delivery times
